Black-necked stork, also known as the jabiru. Associated with the yirridjdja moiety. Hand carved from milkwood or ironwood, and painted with a mix of acrylic and natural ochre, this artist is depicting common birds found in the landscape of the Kakadu and surrounding West Arnhem region.
