The site of Madjedbebe on the Jabiluka mineral lease is well known as being Australia’s oldest known archaeological site, dating back 65,000 years. Archaeological expeditions undertaken in 2012 and 2015 uncovered several artefacts which are now proudly on display at Marrawuddi Arts and Culture.
